"voice print identification" by zoviet france
"between empathy and sympathy is time" by terre thaemlitz (there's also a remix of this somewhere i think)

blixa bargeld does a heap of solo stuff using just his voice (monologues etc.,)
what about some futurism and dada recordings of surreal monologues etc?

thats all i can think of right now, i'll post again if i find others =)

Steve Reich, 'It's Gonna Rain', 1965.

Oh, and 'Come Out', also Steve Reich, the year after I think.

Here's a fairly gay dance film which uses Come Out as the score:

Alvin Lucier, 'I Am Sitting In a Room', 1970.

thanks mike. im aware of the reich works. Im really looking for a rhythmic mash up of vocals, kind of amon tobin, experimental trip hop breakbeat thingy... but just with vocs.... chopping and processing..

Prefuse 73? And if you want something more specific, you might try asking a more specific question.

Just sayin'.

This is by no means experimental but it gives a simple starting reference and i use to lurve this track!
- the clip also reminds me of your installations Kit - could do something a little more exciting but along the same lines there, - lots of possibilities and potentials there......

you could check the spoken word section of your local cd store or perhaps record 'Aural Text' of RRR or any radio for that matter - there's a whole world of voice for ya!
