the soundboard

..because we can

Hello RMIT Sound Art community,

I'd just thought I'd send out a group post to anyone who knew Gavin Teague who undertook the RMIT Media Arts course, in particular those who knew him from the sound art and design course.
Gavin Teague passed away 20th June this year at age 25.
He was a dear friend to me and to the select few that he let into his world.
In the wake of Gavin's passing he has left behind a huge amount of unfinished audio work. Gav and I always talked about collaborating on a project but never found the time. His family have asked if I would help to produce and release some of Gavin's work and get it out into the world, otherwise all his work is just going to sit on his hard drive.
I want to honor Gav's memory and do this for his family, but I don't know if I can do it alone. So, I'm putting the word out to anyone who knew Gav from RMIT and who would be interested in contributing something, anything to this project.
No details as yet just asking for expressions of interest in being a part in this. Please contact me and pass the word onto other people who knew Gavin and his work.
It's not fair that someone so young, creative and prolific should have so much of their work go unfinished, unheard and unappreciated.

Cheers,
Rod Price
