the soundboard

..because we can

Hello, Just wondering if anyone out there knows of any repair/service places in melbourne that can fix Vintage Analog Synths? I've used Logitronics before, and they do a great job, although they are usually quite busy, so it can take a while.
Cheers.

I think there is a place in Northcote called Logitronics who specialize in synths or maybe Technical Workshop in South Yarra?

Talking to Cornel the other day he said Logitronics once took over a year to repair a synth.

He said these days he sends them to Reece Schubert, the guy who built the big modular synth the sound department just bought. According to Corn he's ridiculously fast.

You can find him here: http://ubiksystems.com/

Awesome, thanks for pointing me to Reece's website Michael, I got in contact with him and am taking my damaged synth round there this arvo to get fixed up! Yeah, I remember taking something to get fixed at Logitronics once and it took around 6-8 months, it was fixed though, just slowly.

Hey, no worries! What are you getting repaired?

It's a Korg X-911, this one -> http://www.vintagesynth.com/korg/x911.php
The "synthe" section of it is experiencing some technical difficulties unfortunately. Should be an easy fix.
