It's a Korg X-911, this one -> http://www.vintagesynth.com/korg/x911.php The "synthe" section of it is experiencing some technical difficulties unfortunately. Should be an easy fix.

I think there is a place in Northcote called Logitronics who specialize in synths or maybe Technical Workshop in South Yarra?

Hello, Just wondering if anyone out there knows of any repair/service places in melbourne that can fix Vintage Analog Synths? I've used Logitronics before, and they do a great job, although they are usually quite busy, so it can take a while. Cheers.

But as I found out myself, even with this stuff on ebay, it's really hard to get it in the post...as it's a dangerous item! Performix wouldn't even send it to me.I have some at home, only because I got myself over to Ballarat and bought some. The 4w…

I've had similar discussions with byron about usb hubs (but not to do with moving my computer away), but he strongly recommends not using hubs in anything to do with direct connections with sound cards. Any way that you can run a high speed firewire…

I thought the cover just needed screwing back on but I went to do it and discovered the whole thing is falling apart. Not sure it's worth it unless you want it for parts. Might chuck it out. Sorry!

Hey Steve,

The tape machine is a Grundig tk 248. Looks like it records. I don't have any tapes for it, it's fuckin heavy but you're welcome to pick it up from me in Brunswick.

samples in a scent, all from the Mowtown Remixed cd (2005):
11 - the undisputed truth - smiling faces sometimes (futureshock main ingredient mix)
14 - edwin starr - war (king britt remix)
06 - rare earth - i just want to celebrate (mocean worker remix)

some of these songs are so shit, but they had slivers of goodness that i had to steal :)
have fun remixing!
