This is album is along the same lines and it's every bit as spacey sounding as you'd imagine it might be. http://sunshinegasoline.wordpress.com/2009/12/06/nasa-voyager-recordings-symphonies-of-the-planets-1992/

For people who want access to all of the wonders on offer from the student union - equipment and financial assistance in particular. A forum for getting ideas for sound events etc off the ground. Potentially.

Profile Information

What music do you really love?
according to my last.fm stats, this week it's been:
and long-term it's been:
What kind of stuff are you working on?
i'm producing some of melody henderson's songs, doing an internship with phil brophy, and trying to write something glorious and cut-up and passionate.
Have you got a website or myspace profile or anything? If so, post it here:
http://www.myspace.com/amachineforfinding
Have you got any other projects online?
http://www.myspace.com/battlesnake
What is your relationship to the RMIT Sound Art course?
Undergraduate

other online things:

i write little non-fiction stories sometimes. they're all collected at behold! the theatre of comets.

i have a blog. a bunch of the stuff i post here on the whiteboard (of the 'hey, look at this thing i found!' variety) is there too, along with other stuff that's less sound-related.

i make songs under the name a machine for finding the centre of the earth. some of my solo music is on my myspace, but much more of it is here on ning. i'd like to start playing solo shows again. i used to do a bit of it and enjoyed it. i haven't done much of this since i moved to melbourne, though.

non-song music and sound design i do under my own name, for the time being.

and i play drums in a band called battlesnake. it's a trio: bass, drums, electric piano. we're a free-rock band without guitars, solos or guitar solos.

i'm happy to play drums on anyone's project. i enjoy it.

along with lewis cancut i put on raucous parties from time to time. we're between venues at the moment but we want to put another one on soon.

Hey Mike,

Glad to be back in the virtual sound loop. Sorry I didn't make it to the 'Retro Party', got the flu over the weekend and am still fighting it off.

Next time.

-Yes I was

-despite a technical hitch i managed to complete the performance.
You know what they say -
"whatever doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger"
- met a few newaddition friendly sound folk too - and sent voltage through the dusty wires of RMIT connections.
