Re: Soniccoutre / NI sale - 50% off, free extra products and a complete bundle

Only a little unhappy - I own all but two of the libraries in the bundle. Soniccouture makes some really great libraries, and I find them quite useful. I will be rounding out my collection anyway<G>!

Re: Zynaptic / "Intensity" (detail, clarity, density, loudness)

I am revising my opinion - a little bit anyway. My first attempts to use this were on the 2-mix, and I do not think it is terribly interesting in that application, in spite of the fact that it seems to be geared towards working on a mix. Today I spent some time using it on individual tracks, and I l...

Re: Adagietto Flash Sale - $48 until the 1st of July

my two cents... my string libraries include Adagio, Adagietto, and Agitato from 8Dio, Cinematic Strings and Cinematic Studio Strings, and various strings from Orchestral Essentials and Albion. Adagietto was one of my first purchases. I recall conversing with Troels at the time, and he suggested Adag...

Re: Zynaptic / "Intensity" (detail, clarity, density, loudness)

Hey Piet! I'm about as big a Zynaptiq fan boy as they come (and not just for the scotch they share at their trade show booths, although that doesn't hurt!), but I'm really not reaching for my wallet yet - and I might be missing something here. Can you share a little about what convinced you? If coul...

Re: Zynaptic / "Intensity" (detail, clarity, density, loudness)

My first impression - and I reserve the right to change my mind! I think my expectations are very high for anything that comes out of the Zynaptiq factory. UnVeil, UnChirp, amd UnFilter are absolutely magical tools that do things I didn't think possible. And while they aren't you usual suspects, I d...

Re: 25% off any u-he product til end August

Have their been any updates that improved the efficiency of Diva? I recall being floored by the trial version, but sadly my computer was crushed. It is a wonderful synth, but a little too resource hungry for me at the moment - or it was anyway. Reports to the contrary are more than welcome!

Re: 25% off any u-he product til end August

How are you finding them, Bill? I really haven't spent much time with Dark Zebra yet - auditioned a bunch of presets and yeah, they are cool, but I've spent the majority of my time just exploring Zebra, auditioning presets, taking them apart to see what makes them tick, and creating new sounds. I d...

My timing remains impeccible - I picked up Zebra2 and Dark Zebra a couple weeks ago.

I don't regret the purchase, but sometimes I do think the universe is having fun at my expense!

Re: Waves Flex: Rent To Own Program

Once upon a time this would have been a killer deal, and the structure is certainly there, but I think they've shot themselves in the foot with their sales.

I have all the Waves plugins I need or want through an outrageous deal on an upgrade to Diamond some time ago.

Re: 50% off Symphobia libraries

I am with you 100% on the demo vs refund vs resale - you have to have one of those options, in fact I will not purchase a library where I don't have at least one. I do not agree completely that walk-throughs and specs are a replacement for actually using the library, but alas that doesn't seem to be...

Re: 50% off Symphobia libraries

Great prices - I bought Lumina at Christmas for 350, it's now 290 - I thought it was worth it then. However I haven't had time (or space) to download it yet ! Care to share what makes it worth while? I have OE 1 & 2, and I'm getting Animator, but I am still on the fence about Lumina. What do you li...

It has been a while since I looked at the VST3 SDK, but I believe that wrapper/bridge piece is already part of VST3. We certainly do not need another migration problem!

Re: PulseSetter-Sounds releases "Subversive" Soundset for u-he Repro - "Vintage Modern Sounds" for Film

Wow - I remember talking with you about Pulsesetter, but I confess I don't think I've been back to the site since then. First, I don't buy presets for synths - but you guys are doing things with Repro that I haven't even imagined yet, so I am buying presets today. And the price is more than fair. An...

Yeah, I think somewhere in the depths of my mind I thought it would be cool to have a Fairlight emulation (also want a Synclav and a Waveframe - I need help!) but Darklight is a ton of fun! Love the sounds, don't mind at all that it is sample based.

Re: CinePiano released ($179)

Mine was in my in-box, and I thought it was a nice gesture. $50 is $50. But I'm not convinced I need yet another piano. I bought Piano in Blue as much for the historical significance of the instrument as anything else, and yet I've used it many times. Cinepiano is a really nice sounding piano - base...

disclaimer - I do work for Mike Greene, so yeah, I'm biased. But not that biased<G>... Hey Grumpy - I spent some time with the trial version of DP for Windows - I was severely underwhelmed by a bunch of problems and a general instability. If you did not experience the same I'd love to compare notes! I've been using Studio One on and off since V1, and I'm still not comfortable with the...

Re: New: Woodchester Piano from Fracture Sounds

I have this general rule - I have enough libraries! Well, I do make exceptions for oddities, but pianos long ago left that category. I have a second rule - I don't listen to library demos. I broke the second rule. I am in danger of violating the first rule. That is a really pretty sounding piano!!!

Re: For the next 4 days only: PSP Xenon for $29 instead of $249

Silly me - I use UAD Precision Limiter most of the time, sometimes Waves L1, I don't compress a lot, so I'm really just trying to stay out of trouble. I also own all their effects plugins. Yet I never even considered Xenon. Now I did, I downloaded the demo this past weekend, and it is pretty remarka...
