XD

ANOTHER BRASS LIBRARY FOLKS

https://www.aaronventure.com/infinite-brass

had no idea that aaron was secretly making instruments, but this definitely seems like a step up from SM - given that it's designed to be 1 patch playable per instrument(divisi)

Re: Audiobro Modern Scoring Brass

not a huge fan of CH BRASS It has its uses - i find that if I run it through EQ preset I made to emulate one of the vintage AEA ribbons it is far nicer to use. i dont mind his solo strings - but idk, i tried hein horns and the orchestral brass because unlike samplemodelling brass - it would work wi...

Re: Orchestral Tools / Glory Days (Big Band Horns)

in real time? not really possible. You'd be way better off tracking with a sustain patch and then shifting the notes around to different channels(articulations).

inorder to pull that style off in real time you'd have to just be using modelled instruments lol.

Re: Audiobro Modern Scoring Brass

Yeah I mean, seems like next to nobody owns berlin strings/brass I just wish I had the thousands I dumped into EW back in the day XD only because by the time I had built a computer to run it, there was much more appealing options out there. that said, its cool that junkie is making a brass library. ...

Re: Audiobro Modern Scoring Brass

Hey I hope so too :) but if this is the same price as BB (currently $900) I will be stunned. Two and a half times as many instruments, plus mutes on nearly EVERY instrument (that's another $230 for the equivalent Berlin expansion).... and its got cimbassi XD really though, glory days is such a stea...

Re: Audiobro Modern Scoring Brass

The battle of the prematurely announced brass libraries begins. I know right?!?!? i mean, audiomodelling brass is slated to be out early 2019 too - so looks like everyone got tired of making string libraries(temporarily) As far as the divisi comments, LASS works great with divisi... and even situat...

Re: Audiobro Modern Scoring Brass

I like the they've included the auto divisie, although I didn't use it with LA scoring strings, I know that that would be a nice feature for some people... Especially if you just mostly use the instrument melodically but then occasionally use chords and I took care of my thread already, don't worry....

Re: Orchestral Tools / Glory Days (Big Band Horns)

When I get home I'll try to make a short demo of what happens when you combine the two Unfortunately I don't have Berlin brass, just the expansion, but I will match the piccolo trumpet from the expansion with samplemodeling piccolo trumpet You get the extra dynamics of a lead trumpet, as well as man...

Re: Orchestral Tools / Glory Days (Big Band Horns)

Re: Cinematic Studio Brass ... soon ....

well I mean if you really wanted to get technical with SM, it has a whole pile of parameters and also the keyswitches that hardly anyone even touches... I'm just saying the smooth transitions between dynamic layers combined with pretty tweakable legato has some of that stuff covered. infact cinebras...

Re: Cinematic Studio Brass ... soon ....

man, just finally saw this. nice tone in between cinebrass and berlin. nice legatos - but that's probably the only thing that's really standing out to me... something that can already be mostly reproduced with sample modeling anyways. plus we might see some swam brass and who knows how that'll fair...

Re: Orchestral Tools / Glory Days (Big Band Horns)

Can't for the life of me remember what Daw everybody uses, but this will likely be easy to blend with samplemodeling and swam instruments

in reaper you can reaaaallly abuse eq matching.

I'm in the middle of a reformat or I would make a tutorial

Re: Orchestral Tools / Glory Days (Big Band Horns)

I hope nobody ever makes an ensemble with 1 bass trumpet, 7 trumpets, and 1 piccolo trumpet. lol toby, you I guess could combine the 4 horns from main and the exp, but you'd be rather limited on the convincing articulations for phrases)and i'd imagine they are sitting in the same spot, if not some o...
